Le groupe de luxe allemand Escada a déposé le bilan ce jeudi. Si la procédure ne concerne pour l’instant que la maison mère, les filiales nationales pourraient être touchées au cas par cas par un dépôt de bilan.
Fragilisé depuis plusieurs années, le groupe bavarois Escada a vu ses problèmes s’amplifier (comme de nombreuses entreprises du secteur du luxe) avec la crise économique actuelle.
Comme souvent dans pareilles situations, le groupe fondé en 1976, a souffert de l’instabilité de ses dirigeants et actionnaires qui se sont succédés à grande vitesse.

Cela signifie-t-il que la marque Escada va disparaître du jour au lendemain ? A priori, non. « La direction et les salariés ont l’espoir que le groupe va continuer à exister, » a déclaré responsable d’Escada à l’AFP. Il y a donc fort à parier que le groupe de Munich s’oriente vers une sérieuse restructuration afin de sauver l’entreprise.
Escada emploie pas moins de 2300 personnes dans le monde, dont 600 rien qu’en Allemagne.
